Pedicure virgin

Off to have my first-ever pedicure with my best bud L. Kinda of embarrassed to never have had one before.

Might as well mention that I had my first-ever slurpy just two years ago. Another confession -I don't really like slurpies. Don't know why but I really prefer my plain-old diet coke.

Puppy sidebar
N is into playing Madden football on PS. He yells and hoots away which scares our crazy puppy. Eddy is hundled under my desk as I write this blog. :)

Happy b-day C

Happy birthday to my kind, caring, ever-thoughtful sis C. Hope your day is happy and filled with many laughs.

See ya tomorrow! Yum I can taste the turkey already. I'm prepared to fight D to be the first person to pick at the turkey as it's being carved!

A very non-summery summer

We've had what less than 10 days of warm weather this summer. It is kinda of sad how I have gotten used to the rainy cool days.

Registered N for hockey yesterday. Can the first snow fall not be too far away?

I don't like Mondays

Yikes woke-up to quite the storm and one very scared puppy. To top it all off, Eddy decided to eat the hamburger drippings and the charcoal left in our BBQ from last nite's supper. Yikes it now is pouring rain, Eddy is shaking and we have doggy puke in several rooms.

I really don't like Mondays.

Monday musings, life: Please, somebody stop me

I don't know what my problem is. I have been seriously emotional (melancholy? Hormonal?) today. I actually had tears in my eyes after finding out I didn't get a parking ticket for leaving my car parked on the street past the free 9 a.m. deadline.

Yikes.

Seeing that Hope and Bo are still married on Days, yep made me cry.

Could it be the weather...I'm not sure.

Actually I think it's the lack of sleep.

The commercial is over, Hope is falling apart. Apparently someone kidnapped her daughter.

Back to watching Days and try to figure out if a) Marlana is still on the show b) If I even care if Marlana is still on the show

And the meantime I will try not to burst into tears. :(

My dumb luck

I spent my wait time in Tim's drive thru today, talking myself in and out of a blueberry flower donut.

Wouldn't ya know it (and I never ever buy donuts for me) but when I asked for a BF donut they were out of the blueberry filling till Monday.

And to boot, Tim's had a short power-failure and I was stuck inline with no coffee and no stinking BF donut.

My boyfriend's home

A friend sent me the link to this URL where u can search aerial shots of celebrities homes, sports figures etc.

Joey's house is below.

Mr. Sakic only paid $3,825,000 in November of 2001 for his 8,706 square foot home. I wonder now that he is retired if he is finding it tough - money wise that is. :)

Check out other home photos at virtual globetrotting

Getting to the front of the line

We were at the Summer Superstar charity hockey game last nite at the MTS centre. Toews, Tootoo and a bunch of local NHL/AHL players met with fans and signed autographs before the game. The autograph line was long and slow moving. N got all his autographs and even gave a dig to Mike Keane whose son played against N's winter hockey team. It was fun people-watching and hanging out with friends.

My girlfriend P commented on how one Mom got around a long t-shirt buying line-up at a recent Taylor Swift concert. The Mom simply walked up to the person at the front of the line and offered the teenager $20 to go next.

The girl took the cash and the Mom got her daughter the t-shirt and returned to her seat in time to see the concert.

Twenty bucks well spent I would say.

Happy weekend everyone.
